Agree. I even watched again and they still looked (to me) like slabs of concrete from some structure that may have collapsed. I even paused, and the picture was still not obvious.
I agree about the mattress not looking like mattresses, but it was answered a while ago, several times, still, no it wasn't obvious and I didn't know till they mentioned it on Talking Dead. Now Judith giving birth in another dimension now that's real news.
I didn't recognize the mattresses either. They looked like concrete blocks on fire, which made no sense to me. I remember seeing them taking a mattress and thought to myself that that was probably a real score for them and probably much nicer than anything they had back at their compound. It never occurred to me that they weren't going to take the mattresses and would burn them just for the heck of it.
Plus overall, Alexandria as a whole looks infinitely nicer, with $800K homes in a gated, walled community, and I remember wondering if Negan might decide to just take the whole subdivision for himself and the Saviors. I imagine, though, that their numbers are so large that Alexandria would be too small for them.
NO, it was not obvious. I think I was the 2nd person to ask. I have a brandy new tv, looking right at the screen and couldn't tell wth it was. Like I said, I thought it may have been Hilltop on fire. So get off your high horse. I'm sorry I repped you somewhere before I saw your snooty response.
Lol, thanks for that rep point! I guess I pay attention to the show while I watch, that's a good way of knowing what's going on.

It was the mattresses. That's why michonne had that look on her face. Come on concrete won't burn, and the mattresses didn't burn well either, thanks to CA safety laws.
I had to do a double take when that scene came on, as I wasn't sure what they were at first... so to those who asked, don't mind the ******* in this thread, they get upset easily when it comes to TWD.
Ha. I have 1080p and it took me a sec to realize what it was. Bad cgi is bad.
