Listen to us, we're now complaining about the lighting and sound, much less the story line.

I myself, have an issue with the gaffer, they could use a new one on set.

Exactly. I like the show because it's the end of the world as we know it and btw they have walkers in the way.

It's how different personalities of leaders emerge and how they keep their groups fed and safe. It's about each group being isolated and unaware of what is going on outside their tiny area. It's about the underlying uncertainty of the virus, will it change, who/what started it.

I liked the last episode. Had no trouble seeing or hearing it.

For the people that had no trouble hearing or seeing, is your TV newer or older? We could hear but couldn't see and we just bought a new 4K TV over Thanksgiving break so I'm not sure if maybe some of the newer TVs are having issues. Maybe the format they shot the episode in doesn't translate well to 4K. I know I wasn't the only one as others here did respond to me that they had trouble too so that's why I ask.

I have a 2.5 year old, not 4K, Samsung, and I had no problem with the picture or sound. I just bought a 4K as a Christmas gift and was told that if you don't have a 4K-compatible HDMI cable from your set box to the television, then your picture will be lousy. I have no idea if that's true or just a pitch to sell $40 cables.

I too had trouble seeing and hearing the finale, as I stated before, I had problems with the previous episode too. My tv is a 2 year old HDMI and don't encounter these problems with any other show.

It was definitely the show not TVs, though a 4k might have issues with regular HD I've read but this wasn't that. It was shot very dark. I watched on a ~2 year old HDTV and never seen a show this dark and hard to make out.

The IMDB average rating for Season 8A is 6.86. Season 7A had an average rating of 7.57. Season 6A was 8.37 and Season 5A was 8.45.

S8E8 had the lowest viewership of any mid-season finale. Mid-season viewership peaked in Season 5.

I've said before that they should introduce some prospect of a cure. As someone said already, the first season was great because a new world is being revealed to us that we knew nothing about. Every episode involved some type of discovery. Discoveries on TWD stopped happening a long time ago.
