I thought the rape scenes were too much. It's not something I want to watch. I don't think I want to watch another season. Maybe after enough time has passed for me to forget it a bit.

I refused to watch JR torture and rape Jaime. I ff'd through those parts.

I thought it was disgusting and too graphic. As graphic as HBO is you never see full frontal nudity (I dont want to see JR's penis) or those kinds of scenes like in the prison.

The show failed to hold my interest. I think I made it up until the final 3 or 4 episodes before giving up. The show is gorgeous. Beautifully directed. Great acting. The story grabbed me at first, but then let go. Too much setting and conversing with too little plot. And the plot that was there was too soap opera for me. It was starting to feel like All My Children in kilts.

Well since I don't have starz, this is my first time seeing it.

I'm ok with some of the changes - you have to find good actors to play the roles and their physical presence is just one part of that. Although I always thought of Ian as tall and lanky - am I wrong?

I do think that Jamie needed to see Clair almost 'going' through the stones. His panic and his deep acceptance of her story seemed an important part and should not have been missed.

Lallybroch was not at all as I pictured it - but I bet good locations are hard to find so I forgive.

I did like a lot of the interesting visuals. The hill where the stones were looking different depending on the era, castle Leoch in both times (hubby pointed out that it was the same castle from Monty Python & the Holy Grail).

I do wish they did more with her medicine. And less with the song & dance routine.
