Does anybody else here watches public access tv shows? Here in Minnesota, we have some very strange public access tv shows. One that stands out in particular is Viva and Jerry Country's Videos. This is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen in my entire life. Viva and Jerry are your typical Minnesota "redneck" couple. Jerry is my favorite because there are so many hick Minnesotans that talk like him and act like him..hilarious!!

I love cable access. I had Directv in Maryland, but when I moved to Tucson I got cable. It's awesome. Like a low budget train wreck. I think the weirdest one I've seen so far is one that has a "talent" show while 3 people sit and critique. The 3 have one microphone that they share, and all you hear is mic noise as it clunks between them. Good stuff.

For some reason the Red Green Show is so stupid and ridiculous that I like it... the older ones though, its like its gone past stupid and came up around on the other side... what a hoot.

I too have a soft spot in my heart for pubic access tv shows but where I live, Martin County, the programming is very dull. It's just local government stuff, zoning laws and construction proposals and the locals who debate with officals over said topics....all very bland viewing. I recently came up with some great ideas to add some zing to the line-up on MCTV 20, I hope they aggree! Viva and Jerry are a hoot and the Red Green Show was a blast! Who says public access tv has to be boring! People with little or no talent and a lot of spunk and imagination make public access fun!

I've never seen a PA show that was not unintentionally funny.
