I watch the Cops show, and the Inside jail, and all the rest.
I have a friend that is a retired policeman. I've known him for years and when he was still working and the things he had to face.
I have listened to a scanner for years. I have it on right now.
I am always amazed how some people can be so stupid and cruel and do things to other people that I couldn't even imagine
doing or even think of doing.
Granted, there are some bad cops. But in general they are just doing their job and trying to keep us safe and sometimes put themselves in life threatening situations.
They have my respect.
PS- I heard my son get a speeding ticket on the scanner a few years ago. He don't get nothing past old Dad. He was sure surprised when I ask him how much the ticket cost.
Thankfully, that is all any of my kids have ever got and none has got anything other than sporatic, minor traffic offenses.
I see some of those people on the show that don't even look human because of drugs or gutter lifestyles. Sure am glad I will never see my kids like that.
I owe some of that to my old friend who stopped around once in awhile and helped me set an example on what was right and wrong and how a person can screw up their lives and the consequences involved with making bad decisions or getting involved with the wrong crowd.

I liked the episode where the cop had a drunk click his heels together and say "There's no place like home" before he snapped the cuffs on him !

The show cops????
I was watching thugs getting arrested on the show cops. Wow, I was wondering about something. Is this show for real, or is it just made up?
Here is why;
Why don't the criminals being arrested ever notice the camera? YOu think some ganster thug would hide his face from the camera. Nope, nobody does. It goes on like the camera man is hidden. What is the deal with that? How do they film this show?

I used to watch it back in the 80's and 90's, but have since lost interest. I have often become disgusted at the way some of the cops overreact and become almost abusive.

I watched it this past spring and saw one of my parents (school administator--the parent of one of our students) on it. He was the cop, not the perp.

After they finish the episode, they tv producers ask you if you want your face "blurred" out or not. It is real and filmed on location. But its not live
