The Office is my most favorite sit-com of all time. I have watched every episode multiple times. I still giggle helplessly at almost every episode. I think it is because I have spent so many years working in offices.
I thought Friends was great its first year, but never really achieved that greatness again, though it had many good moments after that. However, on the balance, it's overrated. I think Modern Family is kind of the same - great its first year and some good moments since, but not quite as good since that first year.
Not sure what I'd call underrated, as most of the sitcoms I've watched over the years would not really be called underrated.
Maybe I'm just showing my age. MTM is one of those shows that for some odd reason appeals to the narcissistic "me-me-me" baby boomer generation. The jokes are so canned and the writing trying so hard to be relevant. Because it aired during the height of the feminist movement, I think a lot of my parents' generation remember it with much more fondness than it deserves because it tried to show the supposed ideal woman of the era. But it's just a bland, unfunny show with unrealistic characters.

Even a crutch can be hilarious in the hands of a good actor. Warburton's deadpan delivery never fails to make me laugh. I'd rather watch Patrick Warburton read the Yellow Pages than watch Mary Tyler Moore read Mamet.
