Season two will take place in Fargo, N.D., Sioux Falls, S.D., and Luverne, Minn., Hawley said, with a new actor coming in to play the younger Lou character.

Lorne Malvo was a devil. Seriously. They hinted at this throughout season 1. Because FARGO is so brilliantly written, they don't hit you over the head with it. The story gives us 222 + 222 + 222, then leaves it up to us to figure out 666.

Is this an example of a new kind of series, one in which the creators/writers set out to tell a certain story in a certain number of episodes, without the network trying to interfere?

Very different from Season 1, not only in story but in style.

But I absolutely loved it. FARGO remains the best show currently on TV.

And yes, it is based on a true story. There was a UFO lurking in Minnesota in 1979:
