^ Agree with that sentiment, good to know he's on a series again.

I'm *not* very aware as to what new shows there even were that began last year, so cannot come up with a single best.
Silicon Valley was pretty good-I didn't get all the jokes, but there were plenty of inspired ludicrous moments.
Transparent was another engaging quirky family dramedy with potential.

Does it have to be American ? Happy Valley was engrossing UK police story.
Liked Grantchester a lot, too-though can't deny it's mostly because of the lead actor.

Does "Last Week Tonight" with John Oliver (on HBO) count ?
If so, I'd nominate that for the best debut of 2014.

The 100. I think it premiered in winter/spring of 2014. I love this show! It's helped to fill that hole since Lost ended. I'm not saying it's as good or better than Lost. I do enjoy it as much as I did Lost. It doesn't hurt that Desmond is in it too.

None of the new shows in 2014 wowed me.

FARGO was good, but not a show for which I was eagerly awaiting the next episode.

THE FLASH is fun, but again, surely not must-see TV. It's a network Happy Meal.

GOTHAM has brief moments of greatness surrounded by a lot of mediocrity.

Forever. Its the darkness and the love and how they mix together which make it so good. The 'cop' parts are minimized over being about the lonlieness of immortality.
