For those of us who have cable and pay for tons of channels we don't watch, what channels do you seem to watch the most?

I simply based my statement off the line of thought I had while perusing the latest channels that were offered free last weekend.
I'm going to try to PM you a long reply outlining the problems with the assumptions you've made and the problems with the cynical and exploitative nature of the retail a la carte advocates who's perspectives are reflected in your preferences. If anyone else would like to carry on a more detailed discussion about that, please let me know, but it is getting off topic for this thread.
PBS. If we could get BBC and National Geographic, I'd watch them too and probably CNN if we got that. But I only watch PBS and pay almost $100 for it and internet. I would drop cable if I could still get internet for our two laptops without it.
I was rather surprised that mostly aside from broadcast networks I pretty much watch only History. I get one of the discovery channels and watch some of the stuff on that too, and HGTV now and then. I love Pickers on History, so its not just the 'historical' shows. Geesh I'd love to be able to check out all that cool stuff they get to on Pickers.
I probably watch pbs more than anything else. I am a proud subsciber too. Interstingly our pbs station has the highest number of viewers of any pbs station.
If I had scifi, whatever they call it now, I'd watch the origional series. And I'd love to have the science channel and histoy 2. I wish I could trade all the blah stuff and sports and movies for those.
I have dish, which is cheaper for me combined with cable internet than combining theirs. And Dish hasn't changed their prices either. Sure wish one of the wireless internet offers were as good a signel. Nobody with Dish and their internet has said its as fast and secure as cable.
Since we STILL don't have cbs in the bribary negotiations I may start watching my shows online anyway and we'll see how long I want to keep the three major networks.
History, HGTV, National Geographic and NatGeo Wild, Food Network less and less. Lots of HBO, Cinemax and Showtime. Lifetime only for Project Runway. Whatever cable network carries The Americans and Rectify.
Used to watch A&E but they lost their minds and went all Honey Boo Boo on us, going so far as to dump Longmire. So A&E is completely off my list now.
I used to watch TLC, Animal Planet and Discovery a lot, but hardly ever now. TLC has become the freak show network. I don't watch Animal Planet any more because it's seldom about animals. Now it's tree houses, aquariums and Alaska. Yawn.
Discovery is all-Alaska all the time. I don't hate Alaska, just don't care to watch 24 hour a day programming about it.
Used to watch BBCAmerica. Only occasionally now. It seems to consist of Top Gear and Gordon Ramsey reruns 99% of the time, and when they do have something of interest, their commercial breaks go on forever. Definitely need a DVR for BBCAmerica.
