I liked it! It was great to see Patricia Arquette on TV again, and I like her no-nonsense character. I like the other cast members as well, especially Peter McNichol, who I liked a lot when he was on "Ally McBeal." I set my DVR up to record the series.
I must be the only one here that isn't a Patricia Arquette fan. I'm just not that in to her. I didn't like Medium either.
I watched it, and I know they have to introduce us to the characters in the premier episode, but the dialog just felt so forced. Do agents really call each other "Agent Smith" instead of just "John"? I don't know. I wasn't impressed.
I also thought that Arquette's deduction as to exactly which roads the kidnappers would take was preposterous. Survival instinct would cause them to drive to areas with higher altitude? I think that were forgetting that her character isn't psychic like she was in Medium.
Also, I never watched the other CSI shows, so I don't now if this is common. But I was annoyed at the gratuitous display of super-high-tech sci-fi stuff. Do they really have an office with huge TV screens all over the walls like the war room in War Games? Can (or would) they really send 3-D images of dead bodies from morgues in other states to the FBI office, so that they can zero in on the one body's breast scars? The local ME couldn't just scan and send them a photo of the scars? Were we supposed to be dazzled?

I don't care for her either. She looks like David Arquette in make up. And personally, I think David would look better.

ha ha I know right, I kept waiting for a voice to come out of nowhere saying, "would you like to play a game?" hahahahah
All of the CBS police units with CS and I in their name have comparable technology. The Miami lab was particularly lovely. The New Orleans NCIS has the most basic set-up
So we're supposed to believe that local medical examiner's offices will do an expensive MRI-like scan of a body and beam the FBI a 3-D image that floats in mid air, just so they can see scars on someone's breasts?
I have to wonder how much Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, and the estates of John Entwistle and Keith Moon have made by providing the themes for all of the "CSI" shows. I'm glad they used the original recordings by The Who so they all got a share, rather than making new recordings and only having to pay the songwriter (Townshend).
I'm waiting for some lawyer show to use "Legal Matter".
