Yeah, Eddie's intro by Chris Rock was much longer than Eddie's short speech. I got the feeling that Eddie was now a BIG STAR and was way too cool now to go backwards into his comedy roots, but would acquiesce by accepting everyone's adoration. Bow before the king.

Paul Simon's FACELIFT, OMG!!! He's got joker face now.

I thought the show was mostly sad and depressing.

I was disappointed too....a few high points for me...

Bill Murray singing the Theme from Jaws...I loved when he did the lounge singer skits....
Melissa McCarthy doing Matt Foley, motivational speaker
Darrell Hammond and Jeopardy....
The sports montage of skits
Jack Handey comment
Dana Carvey as George Bush and Ross Perot
The breaking up shorts where they couldn't keep a straight face
Shatner telling his convention fans to get a life.....only showed like 4 seconds of that....
Jon Lovitz as Dukakis.....
Candace Bergen looked great..

It seemed like when they're did show the old time stuff..this music played over it and you couldn't hear what they were saying...the snippets were too short but I guess after 40 years they can't show everything....Did not like that Californians mess... and not to be mean but does Kanye EVER STAY HOME?

A lot of what they did show made me laugh.....

Agreed! At this point I went to bed. I loved seeing some of the old skits and old starts but I thought a lot of the live stuff was really off/weird/bad choices.

Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake are so funny and talented!!

Enjoyed most of the show; miss Gilda and all the gang........has it REALLY been 40 years?

They did just air that episode a few weeks ago... And that might be why some other skits as well weren't really featured during montages.

Her and Kanye dragged it down, and personally shouldn't have been there but I'm sure there are many that love that they were.
