It was also a Silvio Burlesconi production, so I expected a certain level of kitsch. That's three hours I'll never get back.
Good thing I didn't waste my time on it then. Thought about it, but got started on Foyle's War once I subscribed to Acorn TV once again, and also 19-2. Both are entertaining, in different ways of course.

If you like detective shows try Vera--favorite of mine--if u didn't know about it
And there is one season of show that didn't get renewed--about detective w/Asperger syndrome (something that was making the rounds several yrs ago)
Forget the name but female lead was the Moll Flanders series too

Watched the single season (don't know if any more will be made) of "Chasing Shadows", with Alex Kingston & Reece Shearsmith-

I liked Chasing Shadows - wish there was more. There is some great stuff on Acorn but also a lot of hokey old stuff. Hulu has a lot of British programming as well that we have loved.

Yes--thank you for the name...I read some reviews for the series and through they were fairly caustic...it was interesting and different...too bad it wasn't renewed.

I've had Acorn TV for several months now. I find I rarely watch anything there, as I have been glued to Foyle's War and now Midsomer Murders for some time now. They are on Netflix, so I can't be bothered to pop over to Acorn. I did subscribe at one time just to watch fVera, but once I'd finished that series, my interest wavered. I keep thinking that I'll cancel it, but for $5 a month, what's the harm, you know?

Series 3 and 4 of "Suspects" are now available.
I am a happy, happy camper.

You might like the Brokenwood Mysteries, Serangoon Road, or the newish Jack Irish miniseries.

I was looking at the Jack Irish this morning. What do you think of the new documentaries they added recently? I was looking at those as well.
