I love this show! It is beautifully shot with great dialogue.

I lost interest in this show when I realized Hannibal was a super villain unfettered by the constraints of linear time and static space and able to control the minds of mere mortals. Once your titular character no longer fits within the world he's a part of you have a problem. The writing really got dumber and dumber as season 2 progressed.

Where are my visual, eat a portion of a scene ( no pun intended, well just maybe) folks. I stopped seeing the following because of the gross crossing the line factor but I consider this horror art.

I haven't watched yet but doesn't sound like it's gotten any better. I thought the gore was fine in The Following. Hannibal, not. Art??

I guess art in the sense that there is gourmet cooking of body parts, mutilated bodies posed/dressed are sculpture. Had enough of that.

Hmmm, yeah, that is your and my taste I guess but there are others who have umm, stronger pallets? I don't understand how/why gore bothers me on one show but not another. Hannibal just has more sleaze factor? It just troubles my sense of right and wrong.

I have decided not to even peek at my recording. It is getting deleted.

I was watching both Hannibal and The Following, don't remember what followed what or if at the same time but I just got so tired of it all. Gave up The Following to watch Hannibal and then pretty much let that go. Funny, I did have to watch the last 4 episodes of The Following just to see how it ended. But don't think I will be doing that with Hannibal.

Well heads up, I have been warned that the next episode will be extremely gorey even for someone like me.

What I like about the show isn't the gore it is the visuals like Bedelia in her bath going underwater, the droplets of blood in slow motion, the combustion of the motorcycle in the opening scene. I love the music as well as the psychological mind F that Hannibal throws at every one around him.

Whatever happened to Fishburne's character? I think that was the season ender? Will went out a window and his boss was getting spliced against a wall? Somebody went out a window. Maybe the female agent? That was the last I saw of it.
