Anyone else wish that Idol ended before 10 pm in the Pacific and Eastern time zones? My kids love to watch the show but that is just too late for them on a school night.

While visiting San Diego last month on business, I really had a hard time with how late every came on tv there. I bet it's hard on the kids to stay up to watch that and still get up for school. Idol comes on at 7 here in Utah.

One of the best things about moving from New Jersey to Missouri is that all of my favorite shows are on an hour earlier.

Well:
I thought Carly, as much as I don't like her for a reason I can't put my finger on, was very good tonight.
I thought David Cook was very good too.
Jacuzzi was good too and I'm not too fond of him.
The worst: the wanna be country girl and David. H. Actually, favorite David A wasn't too good. He was probably one of the worst, and if tonight was the first show I saw, I would probably be voting for him to leave. You know, the judges each week praise him, tell him he did great, but to pick an upbeat song. When he does, he bombs it!!
Micheal Johns better stop playing safe. he has a very good voice, but he is not WOWING me anymore. Neither is Ramiel...a great voice, but is not utilizing it as she should be.

The two best of the night, IMO:
Chekezie (spelling?) sang She's a Woman - Probably the best performance I have ever seen on AI. It was great.
David Cook sang Elenor Rigby - Also fantastic. I think he might be this year's Daughtry. He won't win but he will sell the most albums!
I don't mean to keep bringing up the late start time, but why in the world would Fox put the trashy Moment of Truth on at 8 pm and the family show AI on at 9? Sometimes I wonder if TV execs have children!

I completely agree with everything you said. I DVR'd and intended to fastward through Jacuzzi's performance, but I was in another room and wow was I surprised. He was like a different person.
Do you think the country song would have sounded better if the drums hadn't been so fast and loud? I realize that's a more country beat, but it was horrible. It was so distracting I couldn't if she was really as bad as the song sounded.

I honestly don't know about the drums...after the beginning...I fast forwarded through her (starting watching it late). I didn't watch all of her performance!
