In my opinion the talent this year is really strong & I'm really excited about this season!!
I'm loving Josiah, the little homeless kid from Atlanta, I see great potential in him. Maybe not to everyone, but I certainly dig his style, but the guy needs a haircut!!

Unfortunately, the homeless kid was cut from the show last night. I kind of liked him too, but he did really badly in the last audition on stage.

Your right, his last audition kinda' blew it for him.
I hope someone hunts him down & gives him a shot! I'm not sure he would have lasted long in the competition anyways.
The talent is still strong this year & I'm excited for the big stage!!

Agreed! Actually enjoyed Hollywood Week this season.
I am loving David Archuleta so much. Also rooting for the Rocking Nurse, Aussie Guy, and Irish Girl.
I'm bad with their names at this stage.

The Aussie guy is hot.
Irish girl is good...the girl with the long, blonde, curly hair is really good...Sayesha (the girl who lost her voice) is really good...that girl that sings 70s rock (brown hair with blonde streaks in the very front) has an amazing voice, but I wonder if she'll sound good doing anything except for 70s rock.
Definitely lots to watch this season! I haven't picked definite favorites yet though.

Ohhhhhhh, nice! I secretly think Gordon Ramsey is sexy too.
Poor Josiah, I was hoping he would do well. The accent was so odd though. I live about 45 miles from Morristown (his hometown in TN) and I can't imagine anyone picking up a British twang there! Morristownee's please don't throw things.

My favorite was the irish girl Carly, but it turns out she's already had a record deal that bombed when she was younger.
American Idol is for undiscovered talent.
A guy is winning this year..it should be Aussie guy as long as "votefortheworstdotcom" doesn't do their thing this year and keep the worst one in again like Sanjaya.

I love watching people, who otherwise might not have a shot to make it huge...successful...rich...have a chance to do so. I love competition. What I most love is the singing. That is one talent out of all of the talents that I wish I could have...and unfortuantely, I sing like a frog. I croak
What I don't like is that sometimes it is just a popularity contest; sometimes bad singers stay long and sometimes great singers, singers who should have won or at least have gone on further, go home.
This year though, I do have to say, seems to be one of the best, if not the best year, for talent. There have been some great singers.
As for that Jessiah child (sorry if the spelling is wrong), I really did like him. That was a blow when he went home. Not because he has the best voice. He doesn't, by far. But what he has is creativity. Out of the box. And there should be a place for that too...and he's not bad on the ears. But that last audition was bad, however the other two were good. And that Sayaesha girl (sorry about spelling), the one with the hoarse voice...well she had one bad audition too.

Did not like the homeless kid Josiah as he reminds me of someone I know that has a little bit of talent and then starts to have success then shoots themselves in the foot and blames everyone else. Yet, these types continue to maintain the belief that every little thing has to "feel" exactly right or else it's no good, therefore sabotaging any possibilty for success. Plus I wonder how someone that young and that cute could be homeless. There are psychological/emotional issues there. All he had to do was pick a song, practice with the band and sing. But, oh no, it has to be the exact right song, the exact right arrangement and then he melodramatically sends the band away. Oh, I am so familiar with these type people. Had he made top 24 he would have quit the moment they asked him to sing some genre he just didn't "feel" right about and he would have quit in the belief that a huge record deal would be waiting. Might even be some narcissim there.
To me, American Idol is more like a variety show than it is Reality TV. And it's something the whole family can watch without worrying about age-inappropriate content.
