Interesting that in episode 2, they did drop the actual name "Superman" a few times.

CW (Arrow/Flash,Smallville), Fox (Gotham), now CBS (only counting DC universe). I don't see how this would go past one season. The big three networks don't know how to do sustainable super hero shows (with maybe the exception of ABC with Agents of Shield).
If it doesn't make it. CBS' sister network will be waiting in the wings to pick it up and add it to the schedule. I think the CW is currently struggling on Mondays right now.

I noticed that too. It makes for better dialogue and for more believable realism than to keep saying "my/your cousin" or saying "the big blue guy."

Yes, I wondered if they have to pay every time the actual title is mentioned. So far, I like the show...the two "sister" actresses are pretty good.

I will say this - I will watch because Ally McBeal (aka Calista Flockhart) looks HOT AS HECK! Way sexier imo than Supergirl lol.

Uh oh...

What goes up, must come down the song says and, after a soaring debut, Supergirl (2.2/7) took a big fall last night in its second week. On an otherwise pretty steady night on the Big 4, the CBS newbie fell 29% among adults 18-49 from its premiere of its October 26 premiere.

The problem is other then Supergirl the other characters are not really that interesting or well developed and most of the action scenes seem to be repeats from other action scenes seem before. There is only so long that Kara's backstory can keep being interesting.

DC Comics is an owner of the series. I guess the agreement could have some provisions for transfer payments whenever some other DC property is exploited, but that seems unlikely to me.

While I'm not complaining, I think it's fairly violent.

What??? No way although Calista does look good for 50, but Melissa Benoist is the real deal.
