When I got up tonight for my next peanut, I wanted to know what the weather was. So I switched the TV to the TIVO circuit, switched from Will Geer on TCM and went to the NOAA/NWS radar map.
A once in a great while use of the cable, but a nice capability to have around when it is wanted.
Really didn't want to open up the laptop to ask those questions because the TV was quicker and it was all give while the computer is give and take.............to say nothing about distracting ("Oh, I'll just take a peak at what was said in that City-Data thread"). I don't have a smartphone and even if I did, I live in a semi cell tower dead zone......do the landlines even have a time and temperature number any more?
It may be slightly expensive to keep around a service for such an intermittent use.....but it is nice when it is there when you ask for it.

To be fair your posts DO tend to get a little.........out there.
To look at the world as such, such as with "Another Day, Another Peanut" relaxes me to a degree.........better than shrinks and pills!
I really was hoping you were rationing your peanuts for some reason, though. I'm sure there would have been an interesting story behind it.
