Thoughts on the upcoming NBC series?

Pro: Ray Liotta

Con and Pro: JLo. I'm not exactly a Jennifer Lopez fan (no dislike, just meh), but at the same time if she is signing onto a TV series, that is a big commitment. It must be promising to attract her (and Ray).

I will give it a try.

Premiers January 7th.

Starting next week it will be up against How To Get Away with Murder.

So, do I watch it tonight knowing even if I love it I won't watch it again till summer reruns? Or skip it till it's out on DVD?

HTGAWM doesn't come back until February 11th. So you have another month.

I've set my DVR to record, but I won't get to it for a couple of days, at best.

Same here.

I won't watch until tomorrow night or this weekend.

It will be interesting to see how it does.

Whatever you think of J-Lo, she's a very successful businesswoman.

We also notice Ade (Drea de Matteo) in the promo. Recorded it last night, haven't watched it yet. Could be promising.

Started out like The Shield. Group of rogue police officers on the take from drug dealers. But you can't hate them because they do some good police work too. But in The Shield they killed the officer who was the rat within a matter of weeks and set it up to look like the perp had shot him.

It's hard to see how this show can continue after the crew is taken down which can't take more than a season, can it, with a trusted rat already inside?

Thanks for the heads up Jay on HTGAWM.

Nah. That would be 2002, the year CBS put the second CSI up.
