What is there to watch on the FREE version of Hulu? All I find are clips.....

And is the main purpose of Hulu plus for people who don't want to pay for cable to have regular broadcast TV?

The ad seems to mainly promote the ability to watch those.

ok, past seasons too, but I see many of those on Netflix, so that might be redundant....

I only use the free version of Hulu. It' about timing. They will make a show available for free but you have to wait for it. Some shows are free right away. Some shows are free one week after original broadcast. Some shows are free but only for a few weeks, etc.

Yeah, episodes go up the morning/day after. Or you can log in with your cable provider to get access to more episodes.

Create a free account. Then set up your Favorites. This will put all of your desired shows in a queue for you.

As long as you check your queue a few times per week, you won't miss anything.
