I loved "Rush" too.

Tom Ellis primarily working in the UK prior to "Rush." I remember him mostly for his appearances in a couple of "Doctor Who" episodes as Martha Jones' love interest. He was onscreen for just a few minutes, but he made quite the impression.

Lucifer S1 E2 and I'm still in...

Lucifer shows a little more of the dark side tonight, there goes the Castle comparison. What is our poor detective going to do when she finally figures out that he is who he says he is?

Bits and Pieces:

Lesley-Ann Brandt aka Mazikeen a being from the Talmud, demons begat by Adam. Oh she is going to be fun

Lauren German aka Det Chloe Dancer, damn if I knew I had see her before... the lesbian EMT Leslie Shays of Chicago Fire!

Dancer's daughter Trixie: "Mom, I have the internet." Cute very cute.

Not good being a phony street preacher.

Ep 2 was another perfect hit for me. I LOVE this show!! Fantastic mix of humour, sex, police procedural, a Devil, a sex-starved therapist and women melting at the handsome devil! I hope the ratings are good. I so want this to succeed. And I LOVE the ex-husband detective who played on The Returned.

I'm still in for this one. Last night's episode was very good, and as I've said before, I love the dialogue.

I got my daughter to watch it for the first time last night, and she liked it very much, and she is difficult to please. I told her she needs to watch the pilot episode which I think is even better than last night's episode. She is going to do that.

The pilot episode will be running again this coming Saturday night at 8 p.m. (Central Time) I'm going to watch it again, too.

Lucifer rejects God's rule and moral philosophy as tyrannical and unjust. The violent, aggressive, totalitarian, vengeful, and dictatorial aspects of Heaven's rule are represented mostly by the Archangel Amenadiel,(played by DB Woodside)
It will be extremely interesting if the TV show actually plays out this free-will/rebellion theme. Some thoughtful philosophical quandaries mixed in with the snarky comedy would be very cool. And I really hope they keep him naughty rather than totally tame him. (Likeable in some ways, but still controversial and offensive to average folks would be best. )

Basically, I hope the long-range plan is not to turn the series into a sort of Christian morality play. I'm not very familiar with general broadcast TV, or with corporate structures. Can the same network that produces Fox News get away with doing a show that offends traditional religious people?

I think there should be an episode where Lucifer goes down to Georgia, and ends up in a fiddle competition.

They had him sitting at a piano last night. They ought to at least get him playing some outrageously kick-ass blues-rock guitar at some point.

Caught that part. He was playing 'King of Pain' by The Police.. // I'm not much into crime dramas at all, so I'm kinda iffy on this show, but it was definitely funny to see Tom Ellis kicking ass as this character! Wow! ( My only comparison was the totally square "nice guy" doctor he played on EastEnders, so. . . Lol )
