He doesn't seem like the type of artist Christina would turn for.
There are too many last season rejects this year!
I don't care if they come back and try again. In fact I love to see that they have really made an effort to improve themselves.
I think Christina has a good sense of music, all kinds. I'm not a huge fan of her music, and I have not cared for her on this show in the past, but I do think there is more to her than just her own style. You have to admit - that blues duet with the black kid was fantastic. And I generally don't care for the blues.
That's Owen. He's the 2nd one this season I can't wait to hear what he does next. Also I liked the slide guitar guy's persona. His voice wasn't great but like Adam, I see potential. He might have to put the guitar down and focus on his voice, I dunno.
I guess Starbucks isn't sponsoring the show anymore? The coach's cups were conspicuously white.
I like when they come back, but I think there are 3-4 who came back from last season which seems like a high number to me. I guess I think it might be more impactful when it was more rare. Maybe 1 a season or make them wait out another season so it's been a year.
They choose 12 contestants each, right? So they all have one spot left except Pharrell who has 2 spots and it's a 2 hour show tonight. Hope they don't do a bunch of filler recaps and crap.

Battle Rounds start next Monday.
My thing is -- they do a filler show of recaps (or at least they did last year).... but why not show the full auditions of the people they montage instead?! I just hate when people are double montaged out of the show entirely because at that point - they get no exposure!

It's a spoiler, too. If they're montaged in the auditions that always means that they didn't win the Battle Round either. I wish they'd air the auditions BEFORE they even have the BRs so they couldn't manipulate things so much.

Yes -- or it is like.... some people don't even make it very far and still are able to gain fans and exposure from the show, so if they're at least making it to the battles - their audition ought to at least be shown. Let them have that for their time and effort. Like the backup singer lady married to the singer. Her audition was bland and the coaches told her something very generic - bad song choice, lack of emotion, etc. but she is shown because of being married to a guy who has had a couple of singles out. Had that not been the case, I think she would have been cut from the show entirely (like a lot of people are).
There are some auditions that didn't get chairs that bummed me out. One being a guy named Nolan, I think, who sang Incubus. I hope he tries out again at some point. I also liked the guy in dreads singing the country song. I almost like some of the auditions this year that weren't chosen more than ones that were. LOL. But I guess my point is - in place of a recap show, just make sure to put in the auditions who make it through! I don't care about showing no-chair auditions.... but yeesh - I want people to get something out of this!

Don't have to admit it because I don't agree, haha. Just another star turn outing for the Screaming Diva. Cannot STAND Christina! I wonder if it's in her contract that she gets these little spotlights.
HE was great. She was just doing her usual diva routine. It wasn't a "duet"...it was him singing an actual song with notes and her just screaming.
I bet if someone offered her a million bucks to sing a song -- any song, the national anthem, whatever - NOTE FOR NOTE with absolutely no "vocalizing" or runs or add-ons of any kind, she could not do it.
She's a "vocalist", remember!
