I actually like Miley on the show so far. Even my Grandma(never misses the voice) likes her and she doesn't even know her really. It seems her and Alicia band together and Miley is really outgoing so it makes her likable even to the contestants. The only thing is she needs to get more experience as she tends to hesitate and look to see what Alicia is thinking. But Alicia also is kind of getting the hang of it too as she seems to waver a lot then before pressing the button she throws her hand up like she really didn't want to press it but might as well, lol.

I agree about the Blake and Adam they are getting annoying, more so Blake. I thought there were some good contestants more so on 2nd day but my fave had to of been the Frank Sinatra one(forgot name) and the girl who had a squeaky voice then sang so deep, wow that was amazing!

yeah it does seem clear that with two ladies now the guys try to lay back on some of the contestants that Alicia and Miley turn for so that way they are guaranteed to have a girl coach.

I must have dozed off and missed Billy Gilman but just watched on youtube and wow, what a voice. Love that song and he killed it.

I wasn't sure if I would like Miley and Alicia (wow---wild clothes, lol) but did think Miley did a good job mentoring last season, and thought their comments were good. felt kinda bad for Adam, but I thought his behavior a bit childish when he didn't get contestants right away, although love his singing. There are some very talented people so far!

I just saw an article that mentioned that Sundance Head was a contestant on American Idol. I thought they still had an age limit of around 25? He seems older than that.

Is everyone sick of this show? Why no posts?

Several good ones last night. Halle Tomlinson, Darby Walker, Nolan Neal (from last season) and Josh Halverson to name a few.

Glad to see they didn't prop up the winner already, but they are still telegraphing which contestants didn't make the first cut by not showing their auditions.

Glad to see Blake and Miley cutting up. She's ripping on both the guys but not Alicia. Good to see a little different dynamic there to shake up the monotony of the Blake/Adam fake feud.

My husband watches this show and so I will see some of it. I am just personally over these types of reality/game show types of shows. I guess because it's been brought to light how rigged they are. Plus I feel like they bring back the same type of singers year after year.

I will say I really did enjoy the crooner. That young kid actually sang better than Adam.

From what I've seen this season, it looks like another year of mostly meh singers mixed with a few amazing ones. Seasons 9 and 10 had mostly incredible talent and if the rest of the auditions remain the same, Season 8 was similar to how this one will turn out. What's with so many young women wanting to whine and screech their voices into sounding like Ellie Goulding? I hate that sound, and it doesn't showcase a talented voice at all. Since she hit it big, there are always at least a couple of contestants who attempt to sound like her (Mady from Season 9 comes to mind). I'm not looking forward to the time when the coaches praise every single performance as fantastic and the show becomes loaded with boring filler and even more commercials. I like the auditions and jokes a lot better. I'd love to stop watching completely, but if I did, my wife would not be happy.

Is that what that is? I've called it an affectation and said it sounds a little like Eliza Doolittle saying "Ouwwwww" Blake used to tell such girls they sounded unique. I guess he's caught on. I find it really off-putting. Even that 12 year old girl with the ukulele did that!

Otherwise I'm really enjoying this season. I have not been a fan of Alicia Keys but she has totally won me over. Like Miley too .
