I think Michael, We, and Brendan can give the Sundance / Billy Gilman machines a run for their money. Saryah is just not in a spot to go far. Courtney Harrell is better.
Yes, Courtney and Sa'Rayah will split the vote for people who enjoy that style and Courtney will come out on top. Wait, that's We's style too, pretty much, isn't it? So she'll get most of the vote and the other two will be lucky to survive the first elim.

Are half of the contestants going on the first elim?

With it being a top 20 instead of top 24, it's not half this year.

Simone and Ali also occupy that space, too. I don't know! It's tough to say how it will go!

I think I would have chosen Michael for that reason.

I also think Darby and Belle occupy the same space and I root for Belle. Darby copies too much from Florence and the Machine. I believe her audition was also Florence.

Couldn't agree more. Alicia made a big mistake eliminating Michael. He is a unicorn. I'm not saying Sa'Rayah isn't good. She is, but there are many female belters; amazing bluesy singer/piano players are a rare breed indeed.

I don't like Faith Hill as a coach, or Alicia either. Alicia says the same canned comments about everyone. "You have a unique tone," "You have a style all your own," "You are something special. There's no one else like you." Zzzzzz. I'm disappointed Gwen will be replacing Miley next season. I think Miley adds a lot of fun to the show, and she is a better coach than I expected.

I'm still in the Billy Gilman camp. I swear his voice is perfection to me. I am hoping he win so he'll start recording again.
But then there is Brendan Fletcher too. Really enjoy his voice. I love Nolan, but I think Brendan bested him.

I pick Brendan to Nolan, but would have picked Nolan over Billy's "Fight Song."

Nolan did well. Just didn't quite hit it for me.

Yeah - I just feel like Billy still doesn't know who he is. I think "Fight Song" was awful. He sang it well, but it wouldn't showcase to me who he could be as an artist. I just didn't find it believable. The nice thing is so far for the first time in a long time - there's no true front runner. I see Billy in the same league as the others.

Wow I thought it was fantastic. Just shows you, different strokes.

That said, nothing I've heard has made me run out to iTunes and buy it. Very very different season this time around.
