Could be another spin on the dating game, but without the blind date element. Just two singles who've never met paired with each other along with a few established couples teams....
If it premieres in September, it should premiere the Friday before Survivor which would most likely be September 16th....I think. Four months from today. I'm ready!!!

I'll take it over this social media maven malarkey. I wonder if the producers realize that the show's real guts are the diversity of teams--be they old gays, young broke waitresses, professional morons, former pro athletes, soccer moms, plumbing couples, dance dads, little people, what have you--taking on unique challenges that give us a look at the rest of the world. No amount of gimmicky casting will ever compensate for the success for failure of the choices of destinations and challenges. If this show was about traveling only around the US, I wouldn't watch it.

I remember a cousin team where one of the girls was a "little person". They were Mirna and Charla, I believe. I really liked them. I wonder whatever happened to them? And I remember Reichen and Chip from the early seasons. They were a gay couple. But, other than a team like the Twinnies, or (gag) Brenchel, I don't remember too many of the recent teams.
CBS announced their fall schedule today and The Amazing Race isn't on it. Looks like there'll just be a spring season, unless it's brought on as a replacement for a failed show.
It's not in the schedule, but it's supposed to return in midseason, says that article. I find it interesting that we were told ratings were excellent, and then it's not a lock on the fall lineup.

Obviously the show was in trouble, shooting for Social Media type casting was a major disappointment for most loyal viewers. It didn't work out because you can't get people who like them away from their phones long enough to watch a television show.
