I cried through most of the show last night. I felt like Randall missed out on getting to know William because of Rebecca and then she told him exactly what I was thinking! He was one of the best characters on the show.
I think next week we are going to find out how Jack died and then I won't have many favorites left on this show other than Randall and his family. Really don't care what happens to Kate, Toby, Kevin or Sophia much.

Yep, it seems headed to a car crash on the 2 hour drive to wherever his wife is playing. That explains Kate's feelings of guilt since she suggested the trip. My wife and I have wondered all along why Kate seemed more obsessed with her dad's death than her brothers did.
Now that William is officially dead and it appears we are going to see Jacks death next week I wonder how many flashbacks they will be in going forward?
I noticed some of the same holes too mentioned here. Odd to me that they create an excellent storyline where even the flashbacks work fine - only to be left with "Where exactly does Randall live so close to NYC but Philly too??" or whatever.
I really really like the scene depicting Randall's dream that William and Jack met and were chatting like old friends. Very cool!
Good point. If that happens then my money is on Jack somehow finding Rebecca in a compromising situation with her band mate and he turns around to drive 2 hours back while drinking his troubles away.
Ya but it set up another crises. Kevin just professed his ever lasting love and devotion to his NYC ex-wife and now gets dangled with a movie offer in LA.

Oh I agree! But this is the life of actors. I'm quite pleased that the play did its job so to speak. I've started liking Kevin's character a bit more lately.
In question and answer sessions, the directors and writers have said they have many episodes, if not more than one season, already written. According to them, William and Jack will still very much be part of the show via flashbacks.

Oh good, thanks for the update
