MY DVR showed that it had taped a new Flip or Flop episode last Thursday! I didn't know the new season had started. So I just watched it, and, hey, good for Christina and Tarek that the show has been extended! They're still superficial, predictable airheads, but by now they're part of the Reality HGTV family, and I'd rather watch them do their usual stuff, finding rotten turkeys on kitchen tables, roaches in the walls, and chickens in the backyard, and coming up with a fairly decent product of gray and white tiles in 30 minutes, than watch that unbearable "F/F Las Vegas"-couple. Welcome back, Christina and Tarek, and try not to mess things up this time around...
I watched one of the new episodes and, although I used to enjoy it, I just couldnt get into it, knowing that it's now certifiably fake because the two of them dont get along at all. (She tried to get HGTV to kick him off and give her her own show.)
I still think it would be entertaining to have them make funny little snide comments to each other, like Sonny and Cher did on their variety show after they split up. Now, that I would watch.

They have to fulfill their contract. I believe there will be more than just this new season if I remember correctly.
Christina has always annoyed me a bit, but after Aubrey and Bristol (Vegas couple), this was so nice!
I did notice Tarek was 'off dealing with another flip' when she was picking some design features. I'm going to guess one or the other will be MIA for parts of the show.
What gets me is that neither of those two actually do the bulk of the work--and I've never seen Christina do anything except pick out overprice grey and white tile.
The show should be extended to an hour-first half hour Christina/Tarek, last 30 minutes should be the inner thoughts of the contractors doing all the work for a pittance.

Why should they do the work themselves, when they make great profit using their own contractors? You do know they OWN the contract company that they use, right? Except for Izzy's company (who they hardly ever use anymore), it's all done by their own employees.
Since it's said they do a lot of houses all at the same time, they could never hope to do all the work themselves. Not to mention that if you are paying $500k - $1 million + for a house, you certainly don't want the average husband/wife rehab work, you want pros.
“Flip or Flop” stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa are teaming up to produce a new HGTV show, Variety has learned.
The new series marks a continuing professional relationship for the “Flip or Flop” co-stars and former couple who are parents to two young children. Last year after a highly publicized domestic altercation, the El Moussas announced their separation after seven years of marriage, but the reality stars are currently in production on Season 7 of their hit HGTV series, which is slated to return at the end of this year.
Despite the tabloid press surrounding their lives, El Moussa says that he and Christina are committed to working together and expanding their production company, Sky High Media, which is behind “Chi-Town Flip” and has several other shows in development. El Moussa says the pair plan to develop and produce even more shows in the home-improvement space..."
Being from the Midwest it is incredulous to me what they pay for those dumps in So Cal. I know real estate is expensive out there having lived there myself for 8 years, but still. They seem to do a decent job of rehabbing those places but I find it difficult to believe they make the profits they say they do. They can be a little annoying at times, but they are not nearly as bad as Scott Yancey was on the old Flipping Vegas show. That guy was just an a-hole.
I don't watch many of the house flipping shows anymore because there's just too many of them now. The one that I do like is Zombie House Flipping. At least there is some humor in that one although it is as predictable as most of the other flipping shows.
Location: Finally the house is done and we are in Port St. Lucie!
