Do you think they amped up the Nathan "I don't know how to cook rice" thing for TV?

Seeing that, I thought he probably said something along the lines "I don't normally cook rice, so i'm worried about getting it right" and they edited it to say "I don't know how to cook rice"

Nathan SHOULD be a sympathetic character.. But.. He's not.

Well, Nathan went home tonight. He fainted during the relay challenge. I think they're hyping Brandi to win. I really don't like her for some reason, and I'd love to see a guy win. But, they aren't doing as well as Toonoria (sp?) and Brandi. The previews show David storming out next week, but who knows what that's about. Shaun looks the strongest of the guys, and I'd be happy if he won. Maybe he'd stop crying so much.

That faint looked fake to me but who knows. That guy was in over his head so he needed to go home. Thank goodness I record all these 2hr episodes! The commercials, and there are a lot, would drive me nuts.

I can see a guy winning though. The Vegas guys are pretty good. But I do agree they'd rather a pretty southern girl with charm to win. Easier to sell books and cruises. A hipster DJ and a professional gambler have very little appeal. haha

The collapse looked staged to me as well. I was glad to see Nathan go. Finally.

No one left in the competition really wows me. Meh.

I think any of the remaining could win.

I have to admit I was relieved to see Nathan finally go. He was immature and clearly wasn't a top contestant, he remained mostly because there was someone who cooked worse each week, not usually because he cooked well. On a superficial level I found his voice grating.

I have enjoyed the minimal amount of manufactured drama this season.

I agree. I think the challenges this season seem to be harder than before, but I'd have to re-watch the first two or three seasons. I was rooting for Eric, and was shocked he went home before Nathan, but I am glad Nathan left. I, too, found his voice really annoying.

What, Nathan is gone? He shouldn't have made the cut much less this far.

Yeah, back to selling tuxedos and cooking in his mom's kitchen.... I think David and Dan will go home next, leaving Brandi, Tanorria and Shaun with Brandi winning. If it comes down like that, I'd rather root for Shaun....

I just couldn't get past the repeated pronunciation SAL-mon.

Just because they don't have salmon in the country doesn't mean you've never heard the word pronounced in your life! And I'm sure she heard it pronounced correctly 172 times during filming.

Grated on my nerves!
