are you for real? splitting up kids---taking them away from a mother that loves them----boy do you have unresolved issues!

because i have worked with families in crisis and have seen too many jons and the girlfriends that come to their rescue(only to later become a part of the family's issues)
kate has her own issues, but she certainly is NOT responsible for his behavior or his role in the family!

These kids are 5 I can't believe a posted thinks taking them away and putting them up for adoption makes any sense. Although I agree they are being damaged , it can be fixed by just getting them off TV. As a adopted parent and former foster parent it can be really hard for kids to attach at this age. regardless of what they are living now they are really close to each other. Life isn't going to get better for them until their parents make some choices. I really fear that if they stay with the show they are harmed and if they end the show and MOm looses her celeb status she is going to not be pretty because she really is going to have a long fall back to reality. Which is exactly where they all need to return to.

Such a complicated mess and TLC says they will keep airing the show 'as long as there is public interest and the family agrees'. Reportedly they are now contracted for 40 new episodes, twice the number of last season.
I don't know how they can offer anything worth seeing--knowing what we all know so thoroughly now.

I saw clips from the next episode.
Apparently they are back to being a family.

Pretty true.
I think that there won't be child support though; and I think Jon will continue with younger girls until they realize he's a has been or that he did cheat on Kate and he'd cheat on them.
And does anyone think he'd ever have more kids? I don't.
He'll be dating a lot of girls that have their biological clock ticking....

Why sweep up the crumbs under the table after every meal, if it will be dirty again the next time they eat? Once/day would be fine.

Now I see this differently.
I give Kate credit for keeping a clean house. I couldn't imagine 6 kids the same age, all touching the garbage & putting things in their mouths.
My daughter used to eat everything.
My neighbors daughter used to put things in her nose.
I've helped her on a few occasions taking little toy pieces out of her nose.
Ever watch an episode of 20/20 on germs? Add to this 6 premature babies.
I don't talk about this much but I used to work for Merry Maids; you would not believe how unsanitary they are. We were given a certain number of "rags" every day, they got used on everything. Think about someone underpaid coming in and cleaning. By the end of the day, a rag used in someone else's bathroom could be used in your kitchen. GROSS.
From memory, Kate wanted someone coming in and doing the time consuming stuff, wiping down molding, cleaning under furniture. She was bringing someone in to do stuff she didn't do daily.

That episode was filmed months ago before the scandal broke. The first episode was filmed a few weeks ago when all hell was breaking loose.

That's what I heard too.
What we saw the other night was new, I'm talking filmed within the last 2 weeks. Apparently they (TLC) scrambled to shoot a new episode due to the media attention.

I've seen an ad for 'Mom's BDay/Charm Cakes' which conceivably was filmed prior to 'the scandal'.
There is a preview of 'Kate and Mady Visit San Diego Spa'--from Kate's mournful 'Well, Mady we had some quality girl time'--that may have been filmed after the media frenzy.
There's another ad that seems to be offering 'explanations'/insight into J & K--which may be good PR in general but for some reason annoys me.
Jon shares that at 19 he was backpacking across Europe, married at 22, father of twins at 23 and then father of 8 by ?? 26/27. So--since he mentioned that his mother says, 'Life is about choices'--how are we, the viewers to respond to this FYI?
Kate remarks, 'I/We never thought we would have so many children'.
Yes, yes--I understand and since I am human and have personality flaws and have made poor choices I try to be objective. No, Kate, I do not really understand why you were compelled to have 'just one more'. From what I read in 'Your Story'/website--you prayed and were certain you would conceive in October--you obviously have a stronger, deeper faith than I can ever hope to possess and that is good.
Now you do indeed have 8 children and a reality show and many of the challenges that marriage and career bring.

I'm just thinking what's best for the kids. Their current mom is whoring them out to TLC and anyone else she can get something free from.
If she truly loves them and only wants the best for them, show us, by getting out of this contract and ending the show (as it exists) immediately. These poor kids have no say whether they want to do it or not. Their wonderful parents have made that decision completely on their own. They are already being raised like Truman on the Truman Show. It's not normal for them to constantly have these other people following them all around and filming their every move. It is also not normal for a kid to be given so much. How do they learn to really appreciate the specialness of a trip to Disney World...if every other place is exclusively open to them?

If this is true, it may be due to the backlash that has developed over the first show and their real life family situation. Remember, if the golden goose stops laying eggs....it all stops...for eveyone.

hey I'm a clean freak too but sometimes OCD can border on mental illness.
On the eppy where they took the kids over to see the new house--Kate spent over 4 hours cleaning a refrigerator. That in itself was bizarre. I can clean something VERY well in less time. Well stupid me, I thought they were keeping that fridge!! Uh......nooooooooo..............they were getting a new one anyway. So there they are showing the kids the new house and she ruins their excitement and fun by getting into a 4 hour refrigerator cleaning binge That is just weird to me...wEiRd
