I'll add Some Mothers Do Ave Em
The Two Ronnies
No, Honestly

My dad liked Benny Hill because it was very much like a televised vaudeville/burlesque show

Space 1999 was more like an American/British Hybrid

Dramas not mentioned that are some of my favorites: The Onedin Line (yes it was shown in the US) and Callan, a thinking man's spy thriller with a great opening sequence.

Don't know if they'll be as good as the original ones though.
It would be really hard to match the original shows. Some times I can catch an old "Are you being served" here on PBS and always get a real belly laugh out of it.

The Jersey-based (Channel Islands) crime drama "Bergerac", the series John Nettles did before "Midsomer Murders".
Watched all of it after I had seen all of Midsomer Murders, a few yrs. back when Nettles left the show.

Recently re-watched all of "Rumpole of the Bailey" (lighthearted yet literary legal drama) & it was still good, decades later. Same w/Insp. Morse.

There are also plenty of older Britcoms that I've enjoyed:"Butterflies", "No Place Like Home", "The Good Life/Good Neighbors", "To the Manor Born"-
and Dave Allen At Large back in the 1970s, with his sketches and editorializing-and far out theme music...

Watched in its first run and tried to catch the reruns as long as they were on the air. One of my all time favorite, favorite shows.

Benny Hill,...classic! I doubt that skit would be done today.

I wonder would the Persuaders and the Protectors also be classified as an American/British hybrid?

I finally watched (actually am finishing Season 4 so two more Seasons to go plus a couple of specials) of Men Behaving Badly. This show is so well written and acted, often laugh out loud funny, no wonder it lasted for many years. I had watched most of the Doc Martin shows which got me interested in Martin Clunes. MBB are all free on youtube, at least as of this minute so don't delay.
