I haven't watched this show, but I thought I'd throw this little tidbit out there...the guy who plays the brother on the show is Kevin James real brother.

yep, most of us,I think, know that. He was on King Of Queens too
I don't hate this show but I don't love it either. I love Kevin James though. The problem is that unlike in King of Queens, Kevin is the only funny one (in my opinion) in the show. However in K of Q, other characters were funny as well.
Plus, it feels weird watching Kevin with a different wife & different set of friends.

We've watched every episode so far. Pretty boring show. Kevin James relies on his "physical" style of comedy and to me he's never been that good at it. I don't see this being renewed for a 2nd season.
After watching the Halloween episode, I went into the DVR and canceled the show. We're done.
The Halloween episode actually had me laugh out loud at the one scene where Kevin & his wife were up in the tree house, he crashed through and the wife followed on the slide. That was the only time I laughed at this new show.
EXCLUSIVE: There is a shakeup on the new CBS comedy Kevin Can Wait starring Kevin James whose showrunner Bruce Helford has departed. Sitcom veteran Helford co-created the series, recently given a full-season order by CBS, with James and James’ frequent collaborator Rock Reuben. I hear Helford stepped down over creative differences with James. He will be succeeded by another long-time sitcom writer-producer, Cheers alum Rob Long, who has come on board as executive producer/showrunner of the New York-based series.
