That's actually a good one and we are still feeling its effects today.



A more recent one was the "Last Man Standing" negotiations a couple of seasons ago. ABC wanted a reduced licensing fee (and thus a reduced budget for the show). Fox agreed to this only if ABC picked up "Cristela". ABC agreed but because of this had to cancel "Suburgatory" (who had halfway decent ratings) which they planned to move to the Friday slot "Cristela" now took up. "Cristela's" ratings sat in the toilet all season and was ultimately cancelled.
