Lead guy spends a lot of time staring into the distance with his mouth open. It's odd. Overall though, I like that's it's actually a mystery who killed the wife. I have no idea, but my current guess is the father.
I think the guy that mugged the late husdands best friend in his building might know something, especially with the ransom note. It wasn't an accident it happened there and he's hiding something. Also his brothers wife ( the blonde that was asking too many questions at brunch) might be involved in it some way. She may be trying to expose him to get her hubby ( his brother) to be the owner of the firm once it all goes down, because of his
Past, hers, both or just greed.

I'm leaning more toward his brother, or for some odd reason his secretary.
Into episode 3 now. I still like it. I still think Juliette Lewis is a lousy actor.
And I think they are doing way too many flashbacks. I'm wondering if the plot was really fully thought out before things got going, and that the flashbacks are their way of adding to the plot, rather than laying groundwork in advance.
