Sophie annoys me no end.
Last night she was going on that her Fathers work was great yet when he showed her the book of her Fathers that she had on the shelf, the one of the woman's breasts, she said something about her being a ****?
Jake and Amy, well really more Amy is just unbelievable. Can you imagine being married like that?
Paul looks he doesn't know what to say half the time. Maybe thats the way it is with couples therapy, the therapist has to give the couple time to fight.
Now Amy apparently has psychosomatic stomach cramps, what a nutter.
My ex-mother in law was like that, she had all kinds of things like that to keep people in line.
I can't believe how Jake is trying to comfort her and she is just being nasty to him.

Jake is trying to be a GROWNUP!!! I give him credit. I actually think that therapy has done wonders for him. Amy is too much of a lost soul. She's a trainwreck.

OMG, so thrilled to have found this thread. I LOVE In Treatment. I think the girl who plays Sophie is great, but I can't stand Sophie. She's a walking advertisement for corporal punishment, lol.
Jake - sooo deserves more than Amy. I was hoping he'd just put his ring down and just walk out.
I can't stand Laura's teeth! LOL, they're so big they distract me. (I know that's mean)
I think Paul and his wife really had a breakthrough on tonight's episode.
It's not Laura's teeth, it's her mouth .. it's too small for her teeth. Meow!!!
This show should be called "In Treatment for Daddy Issues". Have you noticed that all of the patients, even Paul, have Daddy issues???? Maybe I'm dense, but it just dawned on me last night.
Looks like Kate is ready to pack it in. Can't say that I blame her. Paul just can't face the fact that he's not holding up his end of the Dad deal, just like his Dad!
I think that Jake will work things out with Amy. She seems to have realized what an awful shrew she is, she's hit rock bottom and Jake will help her up.

Sophie is, as Lindsay said, a manipulative wingnut ... spot on! Hopefully Paul will help her realize what a goober her Dad is.
Kate has been annoying me up until last night's episode. I didn't like the way she kept glossing over her affair b/c "it didn't matter"; whereas he never had any physical contact w/ Laura, didn't leave the house for a week long vacation overseas w/ her and hasn't torn the house apart b/c of her. I saw his "falling in love" w/ Laura result of Kate's infidelity.
Last night was fascinating, I finally got to see Paul's session with his wife.
He seems pretty disengaged from the family. It sounds like he uses his job as a therapist to excuse it. I couldn't live that way with a man who pays so little attention.
Your right, they ALL seem to be having Daddy issues, I was thinking that yesterday. The only one who hasn't mentioned her Father has been Kate, at least not yet.
