I saw this movie, already. It's pretty good. Some critics thought it was too self-indulgent when Adam describes his relationship with his father, but I found that to be one of the more interesting aspects of the movie.
Thanks for sharing that article, Clara. Points made in that article certainly ring true with me being an outcast myself while growing up and even into adulthood. Along the same lines, my all-time favorite movie is the old 1930s film, Tod Browning's Freaks where the main characters were portrayed not by actors but instead by actual human oddities, such as Conjoined Twins, etc.
But to me, just as important as that outsider aspect of Spock is also the characteristic that he constantly strives to suppress his emotions. The closest thing to Vulcan emotion-control is Buddhism, which is why I practice Buddhism nowadays, and which is why my user-name is Monastic. So my user-name "Monastic" is actually a homage to Spock.
