Did anyone pick up on the eerie, dead-on impression Mark Prosch gave with Pryce Wormald's character [the pharmaceutical employee/thief] of William Macy's Jerry Lundegaard in Fargo??
I'm SURE it was intentional [and hilarious, BTW! ]. Prosch doesn't sound at all like Lundegaard at all in interviews.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Mike tell his daughter-in-law that his son finally did decide to go along with the other corrupt cops in his precinct? If I remember correctly, Mike was pretty broken up about this, because he believed that he had taken away the one thing that had set his son apart from the other cops in his precinct - the fact that he was honest. He had told him that he should go along to get along, or words to that effect, and eventually the son was also corrupted.
Yes, and then Mike eventually killed the two cops in Philly who had killed his son, but letting them believe he was drunk and taking him to a remote location where they thought they were going to kill Mike too, only he turned the tables on them.
Oh yes , I remember that , mike pretending to be drunk and I think hiding the gun in the police car .
Wow, Jimmy's a scumbag. Ruining that poor lady's life just so he can get a payday. At least Howard called him out on his BS.
That seemed like an incredibly long and complicated scam, just to get her to do that. Since she seemed to trust him, wouldn't it have been easier just to change her mind by talking to her? He started out that way, but never pressed his case with her.

It did seem far fetched but I think he was being careful not to actually put the words into her mouth , knowing she'd probably be questioned about her change of mind , but it was cruel of him , she was quite a good actress too .

My thoughts exactly! I think the writers fell into that trap of having an elaborate plot that can only go right one way, but can fail in infinite possibilities. (What if Irene takes the shoes but never wears them?; What if she doesn't show up for bingo on that day? What if she doesn't care what her friends think?). I couldn't suspend my disbelief, I'm afraid.

Jimmy was right.. The money will go to the lawyers. So, holding out increases the payday for the lawyers, while barely making a blip in what the members of the class will get individually.
I'm not saying what Jimmy did was right, but his logic I believe was correct.
And.. I telegraphed the car accident with Kim at the end. I saw that coming, though I was actually thinking "Wouldn't this be an interesting place (in the story) to have her die?"

My thoughts exactly. I thought that was going to be the end of Kim. There were pills in the little cubby on her dash. I wonder if they are something like no-doz since she's been burning the candle at both ends. Blacking out isn't a good sign.

In one of the earlier seasons, when Jimmy was on the bus with the residents, he was on a slippery slope to not get caught trying to get the seniors to join the class action lawsuit. Something about it being against the law when it involves senior citizens. So even though he's not a lawyer right now, he doesn't want to screw up his chances of getting the settlement money. It has to be the lady's idea.
I felt so bad for that poor old lady. Like another poster commented, she did a great acting job!
