I don't know if you have noticed but more and more TV shows have this glowy white light look, I hate it! it looks so fake. I watch many HGTV shows and with some I hardly can tell if the color on a wall is really that bright or is it just how it's being recorded.
I know since HD came out the hosts of many shows are not to happy about every wrinkle showing but please just give me a real picture not this fuzzy crap!

I've seen a lot of movie star photos in magazines like this. Joan Collins (Dynasty) used to do this a lot in the 80's. Every time you'd see a picture of this broad, it would be with a soft focus lens. It's annoying!

The technical term [from my days as a theatrical photographer] was a "Doris Day Soft Focus Filter [shot thru a sheet of linoleum]"

Is that what that is??? OMG I hate it! I never knew what it was, I thought it was me. Giada Delaurentis always had her cooking show like this-- now rachel ray even switched. I agree, it looks fake and makes me feel like Im dreaming it..glad its not just me
