Well, we have had some relationships in Power Rangers history (Tommy x Kat, Andros x Ashley, Wes x Jen, etc.).
As I said, while I won't push for a gay character in Power Rangers, I would not have an issue with one as long as gay stereotypes are not promoted. Now if gay stereotypes were to be promoted (such as making the gay character a male Pink Ranger), then that would be a problem.
Wouldn't bother me. Wouldn't get me to watch, either. But I think it's nice for gay kids to have positive role models. I think you'd face a lot of criticism from the SJW class, though, if you make him pink.
I was wondering, does anyone think Power Rangers should have a gay character?
I won't advocate for one, however, I wouldn't have an issue with one if it were to happen. Even though I have been advocating for a male Pink Ranger, I would prefer a male Pink Ranger not to be gay, and would prefer a gay character to be a Green or Black Ranger. The reason is because Green and Black normally don't receive much focus in most seasons of Power Rangers, and making the Green or Black Ranger gay would give those colors more attention. One of my fanmade Power Rangers teams is known as Power Rangers Music Force, and Andrew Bennington the Black Ranger representing heavy metal is gay.
The reason why I wouldn't want a male Pink Ranger to be gay is because it would be promoting gay stereotypes to children, since in truth gay men are less likely to wear pink than straight men. Another one of my fanmade teams is known as Power Rangers Fairy Magic, and the Pink Fairy Ranger and leader Christopher Scott would be in a relationship with Evelyn Rodriguez the Green Fairy Ranger, a beautiful Mexican girl. I even made the leader of my Power Rangers Fairy Magic team a pink fairy, but he would still be in a relationship with a female character and would get married at the end similar to Thumbelina and the Fairy Prince.
You have asked this question a few times just in reverse order. I knew the subject seemed familiar. In your other posts you ask if the character should be male, wear pink but not be gay. Now you want a gay character to be male and not wear pink. The question was just as random as it is now.
We get it, you dig Power Rangers but I am not sure you are going to get a male pink ranger any time soon. You might get a gay one and if it is a male you can bet they wont wear pink. Writers are stupid but even they are not that on the nose and would never risk the backlash of a "stereotypical" gay character.
A character doesn't have to wear pink in order to show that he is gay. Give him a boyfriend and throw in some non-offensive gay jokes. He can even say that he isn't into girls.
Forgive me if I am not up on the latest Power Ranger demographics.... but from what I remember, Power Rangers shows, or whatever, were directed at young children, yes?? Has the target audience expanded to adults, as well??
Do they even show personal lives or is it more just going out and kicking bad guys' butts??
If they show personal lives, then I suppose you could have a guy power ranger with a boyfriend or a girl power ranger with a girlfriend.... but I think that this would likely go right over the heads of the target audience.... so probably a moot point....
and having a guy power ranger wearing pink didn't even make my list of offensive stereotypes......
How would one know if a power ranger character was gay or not UNLESS it was portrayed stereotypically??
It's called SUTBLY(how the eff ever it's spelt)! Like they used to do with assumedly gay characters, like Samanthas uncle in bewitched. Maybe there's a guy he likes to "hang out" with. I think almost every season of PR had an implied love interest.

They are usually high school students, and show some "down time" like after class, after school, lunch, or in case of Lost Galaxy, In Space, or Rescue; time at the command center/department/ship. I've been out if the series for a few years, but I've never seen things like home life.
