I made the switch to CBS This Morning after the the 2012 election due to the exhaustion I was feeling watching Fox News and their counterpart, NBC. GMA seemed silly (and still does, IMHO). There's something, chemistry, between Charlie, Gayle, and Norah. There was some tension, apparently, between Gayle and Norah, but it has passed and now that Norah is stepping to the anchor desk more, and onto 60 minutes, occassionally.

I would be lost trying to replace this morning show. Business news channels would more than likely step to the plate, but after a heavy diet of CNBC earlier this century, it only messed with how I felt when I started my day.

Who do you watch, and why?

Matt Lauer and the rest of the Today crew. I watch them because I prefer my local NBC news channel which is on right before the Today show, and the channel just stays there.

We watch our local channel (an ABC affiliate) until 7am, then switch to the Weather Channel.

CBS puts me back to sleep. I've never cared for the NBC team. I don't find GMA silly, I find it fun. And when I'm trying to rouse myself out of bed, I need a little fun in my life. Admittedly though, it's not quite as good as it was when it was Robin, George, Josh, Sam, and Lara.

HLN. Used to watch Good Morning America but it's turned into a childish loud celebrity TMZ type show. Anyway, Robin Meade at HLN is easy on the eyes.

I switch on The Weather Channel first thing while I scroll through the TV Guide Evening Schedule just in case something good is on during the evening.

If you're interested in news in the morning you shouldn't be watching television.

NPR's Morning Edition. Sometimes I'll switch to C-SPAN. Washington Journal gives you in-depth discussion, but not always of something you are interested in an in-depth discussion of. also, many of the callers are idiots.

I watch one of the news programs local to the Denver metro - News | FOX31 Denver.
They tell me everything I need to know - weather, traffic, upcoming activities... - and I like the hosts.
The broadcast runs from 4:30 AM - 9 AM, so I usually watch a couple of hours and then switch over to either the Tennis Channel or Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

I don't watch any of the national network shows.

I listen to NPR Morning Edition while lying in bed psyching myself up to get up, then I'll turn on CBS This Morning while I'm getting ready. Then I listen to Morning Edition again in the car on the way to work.
