Freddie Highmore is just the type of actor who can call up the kind of emotion that is needed to look teary eyed. He's been able to do that ever since he was a kid in his earliest movies. Watch Finding Neverland and Charlie & the Chocolate Factory for his amazing acting skills going back a long time.
The scene with Norma/Norman sitting alone in the interrogation room was perfect! Freddie and Vera have been incredible this season. I'm going to be really sad not to have them to watch anymore. I hope they land on something incredible after the show ends. Vera I'd like to see on a comedy. Freddie needs another show where he can do what he does best. Be creepy (and I mean that in the most respectful way).
I guess I'm probably the only one unimpressed with this season. It seems to be wandering now without much direction or purpose.
I would have preferred that it stuck closer to the original Psycho in a macro sense.
I am not a fan of rihanna, and I admit I totally didn't connect the dots with the girl from the hardware store and her cheating husband, but when the show brought that whole subplot together and tied it in to the movie I was impressed with the creativeness of the writers. The stuff afterwords with Chick and the sheriff, I'm not sure yet where it's going but if they tie it in like they brought the rihanna bit in, I'll be happy with it I guess.
Caught an Opps-Moment on last night's episode when Romero was filling his gas tank. In Oregon, where all this is supposedly happening, it's illegal to pump your own gas....no self service at the pumps. Just saying.
I was thinking Romaro maybe shot to the side and dramatic Chick fell forward on his typewriter but, after seeing that cop find the body last episode, I guess not. I wonder who finishes the manuscript now.
