When Blake was making his decision I really wanted TSoul just for his entertainment value. I was convinced he'd choose Casi and was shocked when he went with TSoul. I'm not sure Casi would have provided any competition for Lauren. Her audition song (Blue) was great but it all went downhill from there.
I was shocked Alicia chose Jack to come back also. Then the way they praised his performance last night was puzzling. I thought he was just awful. In spots he sounded like a cow mooing and he sounded off tune a few times.
I remember a couple seasons where the coaches were much more honest and gave better feedback to the contestants. I wish they would go back to that because this insincere praise drives me buggy. They can be honest without being mean.
Yes, the age was lowered this season to 13. I think it was at 15 before IIRC. If it was 18 we would have missed out on Sawyer. :-)
Shocked Adam chose to save Mark Isiah. Thought sure he'd save either Johnny Hayes or Josh West. Didn't really matter to me though, I think his whole team sucks except for Jesse Larson.

At first glance, I thought Suzanne Somers was sitting in Gwen's chair. Musta been the hairstyle. Her face looked a little fuller too. Amazing how Gwen can completely change her look. Christina Aguilara used to wear a lot of makeup for the show too, but she never completely transformed her face like Gwen does.

I don't like taking 3 from each team, not fair to those on teams loaded with talent, I'd rather see the top 12 vote getters continue no matter what team they're on.

Agree. I think Gwen's team is exceptionally weak, but oddly enough, I believe she may have the winner on her team: Hunter. His performance of Elastic Heart gave me the chills. The whole comeback artist thing is a terrible concept. It gives the artists hope, them crushes it again when they are eliminated. Every person brought back for just this week was cut once again. I'm surprised Adam chose Mark rather than Josh. I was disappointed to see Josh go home. There are many Marks but not as many Joshes, IMO. I'm a fan of Hunter and Lilly's but still think the performers are pretty mediocre compared to other seasons.
