I'm still watching. I read the book upon which it's based several years ago (a huge tome) and then gave it to a long-lost friend, never to be seen again. Now I wish I had it to double check a few points, especially details which I don't remember now but see in the show. I generally love period pieces anyway. Th portrayal of his people skills (or lack thereof) is generally true to the original book. From what I've heard from people I've talked to about the show, virtually everyone has been surprised by his personal life. This show does humanize him, for better or worse.
I am still watching. It's very interesting to see him as a man, not just a scientist. My closed captioning is not working anymore so I miss dialogue and who is who. That skinny bald guy with glasses sure reminds me of Himmler! It's also interesting to watch the progression of Nazism in Germany. Einstein was a total failure in the social game. How coinky-dink was it that the solar eclipse was not photographed? I'm glad his friends were not killed by the Russians over what was a wrong theory. I cheered for Malavia (?) [Frau Einstein] when she told him how she tried to warn him but just followed his orders. Wow, women sure were lower than dirt in the old days! Thank goodness they revolted!
The show does take pains to contrast his treatment of Malava with that of Pierre and Marie Curie. Might be also interesting to compare to Hawking who also apparently treats people similarly. I suspect it's a side effect of such focused brain power they can't see human issues.
As a physicist (and with a daughter studying physics) we have both met fellow students who were incredibly brilliant but with zero people skills and who were completely unaware of not having them.
Holy cow! That sure was a shock with Malava!! To go from the original to a different one mid-episode!! The new one didn't even limp as much.
Poor Clara. She really couldn't stand what her husband did, could she?
Wow, how close did we come to not knowing Einstein 's name! Next week that pos Hitler comes into the story because of that other pos and jealousy. Aught to be good!
Same thing with Einstein himself. Very jarring and broke continuity when they jumped from an actor looking mid 20's at the start of ww1 when he was about 35 to an actor looking mid 60's at the end of ww1 when he'd have been about 40.

Way too drastic a transition. Why did they have to make him look so much older than 40ish? It made no sense. He looked like he did at the end of his career. Just unbelievable.
I've been watching this series and really like it. Geoffrey Rush and Johnny Flynn have done a wonderful job of portraying a young Einstein vs the older one. Excellent show
I think that it is an excellent series and can't wait for more. I don't know how much artistic licence they are taking, but really don't care
