It think is was the advertisers pulling out, that canceled the show.

What were these people doing before the Roseanne reboot? Enough said.

Let's keep in mind that ABC banked on the controversy surrounding Roseanne. It was all about pushing the envelope. She just pushed it a little too far and ABC was left with no choice.

Yep. Wanda likes to scream "racism" about everything, but she's one of the most racist people I can think of.

No. They will replace her with Bruce Jenner-the poster "it" for mental illness mislabeled.

This world is off its axis! And we wonder why the kids are nutso, killing people, popping pills, and doing dope? They are dazed and confused. Everything is gray. Right is wrong and wrong is right.

Racism is a terrible thing. I agree. But the absolute hypocrisy of both political (ranting) parties takes the cake.

Anything goes nowadays-unless you think it's wrong, and that depends on what the latest trend/fad is.

When you work for a brand that brand has the right to disassociate itself when you start acting nasty.

Next, Rosanne has always been disgusting and insulting.

people are under the misconception that freedom of speech means freedom of consequences. You freely have the right to spout stupidity and insult folks. just don't get mad when those folks decide to come back on you.

Personally I think Rosanne is a colossal idiot. this is not the first time she has been trashy.

What's the old song "I fight authority and authority always wins" . I feel bad for her costars who are now out of work.
And of those coworkers, Roseanne Barr was the only one that had success after the show originally ended. That is likely why so many of them were available for the reboot. You get called back to reboot a show that had a cult following. Even if the show wasn't a rating behemoth, it would likely be good for 2-3 seasons, before the network really had to decide on its future. Those actors lost out on a good sum of money, due to the fact that Roseanne Barr, or the show for that matter, was their tailwind. They likely have limited value in Hollywood and Roseanne brought many of them back into our lives and our living rooms. Hollywood is a tough business and rebooting Roseanne was likely more fun, more passionate, and the potential for more income than what their actual day to day lives were. They were seeing passion of acting and dollar signs, and Roseanne Barr took that all away in an instance. Talk about heartbreaking...

Everyone knows that comedians are loose cannons. That comes with the territory.
Well, thanks for the laughs.
That doesn't mean that they're immune to consequences.

I was making a joke and clearly you missed the reference.

(And don't forget ... Jenner is as conservative as Roseanne. And probably just as bigoted)

Just playing devil's advocate usually when people talk about people being "cut off from their livelyhood" in Hollywood they arent usually talking about the actors. They are talking about the 150+ people charged with making a show like the production assistants, writing assistants, runners, caterers, set designers, etc etc.

ABC was smart to cancel the show but now all of those people need to go out and find a new job.
