I think, from a story creation standpoint, the wife is the thread between Nick, the letters, and the Waterfords getting ousted from Canada. If the wife didn't exist, I don't believe a connection between the letters and Nick could be made.
Excellent catch. The wife saw the letters. Ruh-roh.
Serena Joy saw the letters? I don't remember that.
Finished the book, didn't care for it. Normally I prefer the book over the movie or TV show (think Zoo by Patterson) but the book didn't interest me at all. I kept reading only to see how different the show is compared to the book.

No, not Serena Joy. Nick's child bride, what's-her-name.
Oh that's right - Eden did see the letters. Between that and Nick being so hesitant to have sex with her I think she is going to be the death of him (literally).
So glad I found this thread! My husband and I started binge-watching this series a week ago. We just finished season 2, episode 9. I guess we'll be watching live from here on out. The thing is... we haven't figured out how to do that yes. Anyway, I am absolutely hooked beyond belief to this show. Now I've got to go back and read 46 pages of this thread.
It's on tonight! It hits Midnight central time. Maybe Midnight for everyone, IDK. That is how Hulu always does. If it's a Wednesday show, Wednesday starts at Midnight so that is when they air.
So that's how it works, huh? We've watched all of the past episodes and will be watching live for the first time on Wednesday. So any time on Wednesday, you can watch the latest episode?
Odd thought: Could June be the safest Handmaid in Gilead right now? Her husband confronted her kidnapper/rapist, and undoubtedly there were news cameras that caught the incident. With the release of the letters and the immediate public reaction, the world may suddenly take a huge interest in Luke and his story. This, is turn, could trigger a "Free June Osbourne" movement. Gilead may end up treading very carefully around June in that event.

I believe the shows are released at midnight on Wednesdays. I usually watch sometime in the morning while folding laundry LOL.
