It's not the Democrats that are trying to bring Trump down, it's his own party, with the assistance of the corporate controlled media. Now congress has decided to keep him from conducting foreign policy regarding the Russia sanctions in place because of the Ukraine. The media keeps quoting allegations that Russia has tried to influence our elections, that Trump is being investigated for covering up illegal dealings with the Russians, without submitting any proof whatsoever. It's just innuendos and secret hearings. Nothing Comey testified to would stand up in court, it's just Comey's version. Things haven't been this hysterical since the Joseph McCarthy hearings of the 1950's, and Clinton's Lewinsky affair.

As a progressive and Bernie supporter I feel more aligned with Trump than to all the bought and sold members of Congress, and the totally corrupt security services. They are not there for the people, their job is to protect the wealthy corporations who decide how elected officials will cast their votes to protect and increase their wealth and power. I'm willing to bet that true liberals (progressives) have more in common with Trump than either the Democratic or Republican establishment.

Ask the people of eastern Ukraine how likable Putin is.

Oh, yeah, don't forget you won't be able to ask over 10,000 of them. They're dead.

Ask the 2 million civilians who died in the Vietnam war how likable LBJ and Nixon were. Then ask the 175,000 dead Iraqi civilians and 25,000 dead Afghan civilians how likable Bush and Obama are.
When asked about Putin being a killer, Trump said "There are a lot of killers. We've got a lot of killers. What do you think? Our country's so innocent?" A good point. All governments murder people. It's how they stay in power. But no one on the news calls Obama or Bush or LBJ or Nixon murderers. Why is that?

So you think the sins of others somehow expurgate Putin's sins? Sorry, that's not how it works.

The way it works at the top is they are all sinners, all willingly (and some enthusiastically) have blood on their hands. Probably the only president this century that didn't use the U.S. military overseas to kill people and actively pursued peace throughout his presidency and afterward, was Jimmy Carter. And no matter how you look at it, killing 2 million people is 200 times worse than killing 10,000. Why not just admit Putin has done no worse than any U.S. president (except Carter) and leave it at that?

You do know that Putin is ex KGB right? He is a professional liar, and was trained to be any character, nice of nasty, that any particular situation warranted. In the Oliver Stone interview Putin's just playing a part.

Putin must be using a lot of Botox though, his face looked liked it was going to burst, and his eyes looked like **** holes in the snow.
