It seemed like there was a lot going on last night. Josh and Mark were going at it. Apparently Josh was banging pots and Mark either grabbed him or the pots. They both were called into the Diary Room.

The rest of the house is trying to convince Jessica to pretty much dump Cody. Telling her he is bad for her game. If they are successful maybe she will not use her temptation to save him.

Elena and Mark do not seem to be getting along.

Are the couples beginning to break up? Finally, things are getting interesting in the house.

Players for Veto were:

Paul/Cody/Jess/Jason/Kevin/Raven

Winner of Veto is:

PAUL

This doesn't mean much since Jessica is definitely going to be using the Halting Hex to save herself/Cody from eviction, thus making winning veto even pointless this week. Paul's HOH is essentially a waste and since he can't play in the next HOH (regardless if the halting hex is used or not), him winning HOH turned out to be a bad thing for his game. https://big-brother-19-blog.blogspot.com/

Wow. Big Brother really needs to chill with such powerful "America's choice" interferences. Both Paul's 3 week immunity and Jessica's Halting Hex are far too much (imo).

Luckily they kind of balanced each other out, as Jody and Paul wasted them on each other.

How will this hex work? Does she use it before the votes are read or before they are cast?

Haha, that's exactly what I was getting at! Jessica suddenly is America's favorite?! Anytime "America" is invited to get involved, it's really just Grodner and her production crew having free reign to shape the season however they see fit.

I believe the hex must be used before the votes are cast.

I think Josh is trying to move-in on Elena with all that Elena-Elena-Elena top-of-the-list talk last night in the HOH Room or she's a soon-to-be-target and they are just trying to throw her off. He must see a disconnect forming between Elena and Mark.

Bingo. The game, by itself, has an interesting enough premise to entertain on its own if left to take its course. But this comes from Hollywood, and Hollywood just can't resist messing with something that works. If Hollywood had been give the WWII Willys Jeep, they would have started adding armor to it, then goosing up the engine to compensate for the weight; they'd have added an extended bed with twin MGs on each side, and before you know it, one of the best weapons of war ever designed by any country would have been modified out of usefulness. Just like in conversations, where there is a time to just shut up and listen and learn, yet there's always this impulse to butt in. I don't think they have the self-awareness to realize how transparent is their meddling.

I wonder if the halting hex was planned before the season started or if they created it as a way to account for Meghan who self evicted so that they can stick to the shows schedule for evictions and still be able to do a double eviction episode.
