Its a really good show, now in its 3rd season. Its about 6 people waking out out of cryosleep with no memory of who they are, and try to figure out why they are on a space ship. Its a really good show

The show seems to have been inspired by many sources. When I watch it I am reminded of Blake's 7.

Thanks for the suggestion. I loved Firefly and would love to find another show like that.

I vaguely remember trying this when it came out (couple of years ago?). Watched one or two eps, and gave up. Story made no sense, as I recall. If it's made it to a 3rd season, clearly someone likes it.

I loved Firefly, BTW. One of the all-time classics.

Give it a try again. The storyline is really interesting. Netflix has the first 2 seasons streaming.

+1 recommending this.

For the first 5 minutes, it looks like any other low-budget SF show, but it's actually well thought out, with good cast and acting and <big surprise> good writing.

Also, check out KillJoys. It is very similar in quality and 'flavor'. A show you really expected to be done poorly, and you just keep getting surprised on how well it's done.

Best SF series(s) since Continuum.

I didn't think anyone else knew about B7!

You gotta be old as dirt to remember it. And lucky enough for it to be shown where you were. I caught it on a fuzzy feed from the PBS station in the next city as the Los Angeles PBS affiliate didn't play it

If you liked stargate you should watch it too, as a lot of people that worked on that show, work here.
Now Dark Matter is no "the Expanse" (best sf on tv right now imo, though right now might be misleading as it's between seasons) but it's still a very fun show with great characters and surprising plot twists, worth watching if you're into sf.

My favorite character is Android. That blank stare she gives when all the other characters are freaking out is priceless
