Back in the early 2000's, Sunday's were the place to be on HBO. Sex and The City, The Sopranos and Six Feet Under. Even if I drank on that day, I could always watch the repeats on Monday night. Always looked forward to that day. And now, I found a video that celebrated that. The Wire was waaaay to dense for my brain. How I'm getting through the leftovers is a mystery.

Sunday's are still a great night for HBO. John Oliver is on Sundays, Veep and Silicon Valley just ended another season, and Game of Thrones comes back in two weeks. Other times throughout the year, they've had some great limited series such as The Night Of, Show Me a Hero, and Big Little Lies.

Not to mention Deadwood and Boardwalk Empire. I agree with the OP that HBO has slipped, their Sundays aren't special anymore (though I really like Silicon Valley).

For me it just barely justifies the price. Netflix and some other new networks have surely pipped some of HBO's creativity.

All great shows mentioned in here. HBO has been known for owning Sunday night for decades now. I'm looking forward to Season 2 of Westworld!

However, the other premium channels have really stepped their game up lately. Cinemax, STARZ, Showtime all have great shows on Sunday. Too many to name!
