Ese's was about to beat Franklin Down. That was another poor decision on Franklin's part.
Although most people do have to fail to be successful, i think going forward he may start listening to peoples advice.
Another good episode last night.
We finally got to see what Crack Cocaine does to people. Franklin's friend will get hooked off that first hit. Can't wait for the season finale.
Has anyone noticed any gang presence yet? So far I haven't seen much of a gang presence with the South Central part. I haven't seen anyone representing the Crips or Bloods in an obvious way(bandanas, hands signs etc). Or have I missed this with certain characters?
I grew up in a Black P. Stone neighborhood. Actually in the elementary school and hearing kids talking about their older brothers as they were joining with the Pirus to form the Bloods. Through out the 70s while they were in the background it was after they become security for crack dealing that the overwhelming gang culture took over the Jungles. I was in the Army during the period that the show is set in so how it came to be if accurate is a story that I want to see
It never maid the turn that The Wire made for me. There is no Wallace or Bubbles that you cared about just a bunch of folks on different paths of the Crack track going bad for the love of money.

This show is nowhere near on the level of The Wire, not even in the same league.
You Also bring up a good point of us, not really caring about the characters. But it is a good show in it's own right
They showed Captain Aceveda being raped on The Shield. In his case orally but since it is not porn they must pull back
Have you watched HBO's OZ? It starred Detective Stabler.
