Steve Harvey but it is really close with Richard Dawson. Censorship is much more relaxed now so people can say more and that coupled with Steve's quick wit make it a much better show.

Dawson is the original but I am not sure he (at the time) had the wit to keep up in today's show.

Really? I don't see much wit from Harvey at all. I see what was once a clean show that is now trashed out under his leadership. A contestant says something risque and Harvey makes a dumb face at the camera. Usually the same staring, motionless face, as if he is shocked. Right. We all know he isn't and the questions are geared towards suggestiveness these days. Whereas Dawson on Family Feud and Match Game is unmatched when it came to cracking wise on the spur of the moment. The only one who came close to him on Match Game was Betty White who sometimes made punny remarks when revealing her answers.

I agree about Richard Dawson being the best. And he met his wife while she was a contestant on the show back in 1981. I guess she liked the way he kissed.

I agree about Steve Harvey. I dont find him entertaining at all, anywhere.

And Betty White would have been an awesome host. There are few who are as fast on their feet as she is.

I suppose comedy is all relative anyway. I never found Dawson that funny. He's a great host sure but for me he was funnier on "Hogan's Heroes" but not so much on Family Feud.

I get the Harvey is way over saturated these days but he is funny as hell and his stand up routines going back to the Apollo are gold.

Again, it is personal preference

Steve Harvey is the best. Louie Anderson is probably the worst. That voice was just not pleasing to listen to.

Exactly! I liked him the best until he started getting raunchy with all the sexual innuendos. It's definitely not a family friendly show anymore. Surprised with his supposedly religious beliefs he would take the show in this direction or continue with it if the directors are insisting he acts this way.

Dawson and Richard Karn from Home Improvement. Steve Harvey is vulgar and disgusting, plus he 'thinks' he is far funnier than he is! No longer watch because of him.
