Think Targaryns have history of inbreeding like Lannisters
But Jon thinks he is a Stark w/Stark values
He modeled his life on WWND

I'm wondering, since it's the final season, if the show will get back on book a little bit and show that each of the Starks have the ability to warg. That would throw a wrench into the works.

Jon wargs into the Night King (although he's only gone into Ghost before) or Arya into wight-Viserion (she used the ability to beat the Faceless Men blindness test). Sansa can't do it much and only did it when she was Cersei's "guest" prior to Joffrey's wedding.

It seems like if they could somehow make those chains they used to pull the dragon up, then they could have made rafts

Actually, only the Targaryens did the brother/sister thing. The Lannister did cousins, as did most of the Houses (just like European nobility). The Starks and the Martells (Dorne) were the only ones who didn't marry into the other Houses much.

Bran was doing his 'warg into a flock of ravens' thing, keeping an eye on the Army of the Undead, and was scoping out the scene at the Wall by Eastwatch when the Night King came riding in on reanimated Viseryon. It was happening in real time (or as real as time gets in a fictional universe).

Neither the original Three Eyed Raven nor Brandon have ever claimed to be able to see the future, just the past. Brandon can see current events via his warging into animals that are on the scene (like the ravens), but that's something the Free Folk skin-changers (wargs) have always been able to do.
yes, another poster informed me of that, I thought he was able to see the future....thanks for bringing me up to speed, but I'm kinda bummed now, b/c was thinking it didn't happen just yet.

darn.

Thanks a bunch.

They didn't make the chains, they bought them at Crastor's Ace Hardware franchise which is now run as a collective by Crastor's widows.

No. That was Viserys.
Rhaegar, it would seem, was a bit more civilized.
